Our influence is the reason why we make Fairphone synonymous with sustainable technology. If you ask us what it means to make us sustainable, we have a lot of words and a lot of data to support us. That is what we distill on the annual impact report.. It provides a comprehensive overview of all our various projects and initiatives, product portfolios, progress and overall performance so far. Our iMPACT report is a member of the FAIRPONE community. The main highlights of this year’s edition are:
We took a big step to lower the emissions. In 2024, we surpassed the 5% reduction goal by reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 48% compared to 2022. Some of them come from smarter delivery. 55% have moved more than half of the inbound logistics from China to Europe, reducing transportation by 55%. In addition, in the main part of FAIRPHONE 5 production, manufacturing emissions were reduced by 19.4% by using renewable energy such as final assembly, display and battery packaging.
We have expanded the list of focus materialsIn the 2030 Fair Materials Roadmap published last year, we have expanded the focus material range from 14 to 23, which is considered the most influential effect on both people and the environment. Our goal is to improve the extraction and/or production of these data by benefiting the community, protecting nature, and supporting small producers such as craftsmen and recycling companies.
FAIRBUDS gained 10 perfect points with IFIXIT for repair potential and is 100% electronic waste neutral.
We have yet launched the most fair ingredients. With the launch of Fairbuds in 2024, we achieved the highest ratio of process and recycling materials in a single product to nearly 70%.
We have paid a $ 1 million wage bonus so far. As of 2024, Fairphone distributed more than $ 1,000,000 living wage bonuses to workers in the supply chain. Only in 2024, we paid $ 91,000 in three factories, benefiting more than 1,500 workers. Following the wage gap assessment with Fairphone, a lower supplier now pays all employees, regardless of the brand.
We had a positive impact on more than 20,000 people.A total of 45 improvements have been made in suppliers and sub -source player factories. Overall, our efforts have influenced better results for 20,042 people working in mining, manufacturing and recycling stages.

We strengthened the voices of workers. We conducted regular third -party worker satisfaction surveys to strengthen our efforts on fair working conditions by conducting training programs for women, improving complaints and harassment initiative. Projects such as dormitory renovation, enhanced canteen services and educational opportunities are co -designed to meet the demands of workers.
We are leading the industry in the life life. Currently activated FAIRPHONE 3 (+), 4 and 5 users are trying to use the device for more than 5-6 years based on data signal testing and survey data. Our data confirms this and shows that the phone model is used longer than the market average.
Fair phone devices remain in a way that passes the industry average over a few years later.
We continue to open and keep up to date. Immediately after its launch, we announced the PCB circuit diagram of FAIRPHONE 5 to make advanced repair easier. In addition, we completely checked the camera software experience and motivated them to adhere to the device by launching a free software update for users.
We are innovating to improve device loyalty. It also presented new innovations to promote device life, such as automatic battery replacement notifications and Fairphone timeline functions of the FAIRPONE app that maps customer’s fair phone experience.
We have avoided all of this because our devices are designed to last longer.
We continue to reuse and recycle. The reusable and recycling program of Fairphone achieved 63%reuse rates for the devices collected last year. We took almost 3,000 recycles, including 1,987 pair phone devices.
We check if our products are 100% e -waste neutral: All (main) products sold in 2024 were 100% EWASTE neutral. We also achieved the goal of collecting 29 tons of electronic waste, and received it through the electronic waste racing initiative and related to Ghana’s Argo360. We are currently trying to make sure that the accessories are 100% neutral.
We have led to a new life lease to old devices. We have partnered with Citronics, a low technology consulting based in Belgium, to provide a third lifetime to the end of life, converting old Fairphone 2 into the world’s first circular fine computer instance.
