QualComm’s latest 7 -series chipset is here and offers some updates compared to the previous model. SnapDragon 7s Gen 4 (SM7750-AB) is a direct successor last year. SD 7S GEN 3 And with the same 1+3+4 core architecture, we offer almost unchanged Kryo CPUs.
The 1X Prime Cortex-A720 Core is now clocked at 2.7GHz compared to 2.5GHz of 7S Gen 3. The clock speed of the 3X Cortex-A720 (2.4GHz) device and the 4X Cortex-A520 (1.8GHz) module remain unchanged. QualComm says that you can expect a 7%increase in performance in the CPU.
The new chip gets updated ADRENO GPUs. QualComm provides 7% boost compared to predecessors. It also offers snapdragon elite games such as Adaptive Performance Engine 3.0 and SnapDragon Game Super Resolution.
The new bits are additional support for the 144Hz refresh in the super -large display (up to 1,300 x 2,900px). QualComm also imports updated spectrum ISPs that can use 200MP sensors and 4K video @ 30 FPS, including hybrid log gamma (HLG), HDR10 and HDR10+ format.
The updated hexagon NPU supports LLAMA 1B and QWEN 1B and real -time translations to provide better AI performance. The chip features LPDDR5 RAM of 3,200MHz and UFS 3.1 storage and quick charge 4+ charging technology of QualComm.
In terms of connection, the new 7S Gen 4 chip supports 5g or less 5G, Wi-Fi 6e and Bluetooth 5.4. It also supports APTX Lossless and APTX ADAPTIVE AUDIO CODEC.
QualComm has not yet made a call to debut a new chip yet.
