When you play a video game for a long time, you will develop something of “Spidey Sense” when you see a game that looks special. Of course, you can never know until the final product is on the hard drive, but the sixth sense is correct.
The replaced 2.5D action adventure game is completed with an amazing camera work and Moody Music that are soaked in the aesthetics of the absolutely amazing science fiction cyberpunk pixel art. I already played a short three demonstration a year ago, which only strengthened my first feeling since the first release four years ago. This time, I had to play the first 30 minutes of the campaign, and if the rest of the game could be delivered-there was nothing weakening my passion for delivering indie classic such as Limbo, Braid, Inner, and Bala Tro.
It is clear that the art director of the replacement right in the jump knows what they are doing. Alternative History, which was built in the United States in the 1980s, is filled with 16 -bit graphics that I grew up, filled with soft dynamic lighting and absolutely good film shooting. Throwing the appropriate amount of instrumental depth to get a living world. It arouses terrible and despair, but it looks gorgeous somehow.
You play with Rich. AI living in a man named Warren is literally dying in a pile of body and wakes up. The world of Phoenix City, which can be seen before you, is the evolution of the world’s nuclear events that have occurred decades ago. There are diary, news articles and other world construction information so that you can collect and read your Wingman.
Replace simply starts to keep 2D flights from left to right and do not do more than the default platform. But it is very surprisingly set to set up and boot quickly. If it reveals a piece of the digital clipping story mentioned above, or when you find you, you will see a sniper wielding a searchlight that can destroy you at once. The situation is clear in Phoenix City. It’s not long before you have to fight to survive. You must throw your hands with two faction members and the whole gang.
And the replacement will give you a deep impression: it is packing the appropriate Batman: Arkham Combat System. Enemies to attack will get yellow lightning over their heads. To oppose immediately, press Y to press y. And-My fellow Arkham veterans know where this is going. When red lightning appears on the head of the enemy, they mean that they try to release an unblocked or impossible attack. Successful Dodge and Paris charges a special attack meter. This means that in the case of replacement, if you shoot a gun in the firearms found in the street or if you are in the point rank range, you can brutally execute the enemy. Of course it gets more complicated. Before the rifle for a long time, bad guys enter the fight and change the timing window (obviously) bullets. The heaviness of the enemy will complicate things. There was only one time of the opening time of replacement, and perhaps with the design he was not too hard to tango tango. All his attacks cannot be blocked, and he has been hit many. But at the time we faced, there was no friend, so it was a very simple introduction to the high scores that could be faced in the game later. So I expect that the fist will increase significantly in the same process as the runtime of replacement in every sense: the number of enemies, difficulty, etc.
Soon replacement began to introduce the 2.5D element, and expanded the world by literally walking into the background or the foreground and getting what is needed to proceed. To reach a higher ladder, reach higher ladder, or to connect the interval, you need to catch and push it. This opening sequence did not provide too much movement in the environment, but I know that it would be because I had seen it before last year. But exploration will sometimes be rewarded to you from ordinary vision to pickups. I will not go to call them a secret. And they will fill your documents and illuminate this broken world a little brighter or upgrade. I can’t say that the replacement will be regenerated by itself, but if developers do enough to build a background story in Phoenix City, they can motivate them to go back and find all the hidden information.
This year’s demo was the beginning of the game, so last year’s first practice did not show the most fun surprise in the first practice. The RPG was hidden under 2.5D cyber punk aesthetics. In the first two of the very impressive trailers, I thought it was replaced that the replacement was a side scroll action adventure game. However, there is a section that provides quest NPCs and the ability to freely make the area freely. I can’t wait for this more.
But you have to go back to this latest replacement and praise the music for a while. The capricious synthesizer soundtrack is the core of the mood in all destorphic cyberpunk media, and did not spend time confirming the understanding of the department. And I actually want to go back to the visual identity of this game. As you can see, pixel art is amazing, the use of color and lighting is the best, and I want to shout the animation. I’m not sure if this makes sense, but there’s something like an animation is so good when attempting a retro style complemented by a modern visual touch, as it is replaced. The development team of Sad Cat Studios claims to have a perfect balance. His hands or his enemies do not move too smoothly. Instead, they have a slightly squeaky movement, which is added only to the broken beat down spirit of Phoenix City, and it sells the NEO-16-bit shape in my eyes much more perfectly.
When I reached the end of the demo build of the replacement, what I wanted was to play more. It is simply an attractive game from top to bottom, and you can’t wait for REACH’s story to be a deeper conspiracy. I also eagerly want to find out how deep the battle and RPG elements are getting. I do not like that my dull sensation is more than one of the most memorable games in 2026 (even if Grand Theft Auto 6 already knows the headline). We have no replacement date yet, but we feel that it is getting closer. Hopefully we hope to know how special the last game is.
