In Fairphone, we have always checked if our device is designed with the lowest carbon footprint. Most of the carbon emissions on the phone occur before reaching their hands during production. Therefore, by extending life, reduce the carbon footprints in almost half (by using twice as long as). The last thing to make things is one of the most powerful tools to reduce emissions.

Fair phone is designed as a regenerative resource
Fairphone (gen. 6) is produced using playable energy in important parts of the supply chain, including assembly lines, displays, cameras and batteries. This is made possible through cooperation with the future prediction supply chain partner that shares our belief that clean technology should be driven by clean energy. When we work together throughout the industry, it is not only possible to change actual changes, but also evidence that it is type.
Fair phone is 100% electronic waste neutral
Once again, we made this fair phone a 100% electronic waste neutral. For all the devices we launched in the market, we collect and recycle a significant weight of electronic waste. This means to reuse the part. Recycling material. Pollution reduction.
And we develop further through initiatives, such as races of waste that students from all over Europe learn to collect used calls and reconsider technology waste. This is because this work is not just circular. It is about building a responsible culture in education, authority and basic.
The pair phone is made of more than 50% process and recycling materials.
The pair phone includes the highest rate of the fair and recycled materials of all smartphones known in the market. This includes recycled aluminum, copper, tin, plastics, and rare earth elements. This includes a fair tungsten, the supply chain of various components contains fair trade, and it occupies the remaining parts of gold, silver and cobalt through a fair mining credit system, which is set to directly affect mining and community such as child labor prevention and mine safety improvement.
Fair phone is a more ethical smartphone
We have made a lot of progress in the factory where the pair phone is manufactured.
The final meeting is held in facilities that meet the highest ethical and environmental standards in the industry. Workers are protected from chemical risks. Workers’ safety and worker voices are front and center. Waste is minimized and recycled.
We support this by actual investments, including living wage bonuses for workers in the supply chain. It is unique to us. Other smartphone companies do not do it. And every year, we expand the list of beneficiaries and inspire others. For example, speaker module manufacturers have now began to pay their own wages.
